Urban’s research expands the knowledge base on how juvenile justice reform can address racial and ethnic inequities, improve public safety and outcomes for youth, and reduce future court system involvement. We also explore how to strengthen community-based alternatives and establish a continuum of care and opportunity as the next frontier of juvenile justice reform.
