Building the Carolinas’ Tech Future with Homegrown Talent
Body

Join the Urban Institute, ApprenticeshipNC, and Apprenticeship Carolina to celebrate, reflect, and discuss next steps for the Small and Medium Business Tech Apprenticeship Project.

This project supports small- and medium-sized businesses in North and South Carolina in building registered apprenticeship programs for tech occupations. Attendees will hear from both state agencies about how the project has supported investment in a tech workforce in each state, featuring success stories from employers. With the project approaching its final year, Urban will discuss how employers can receive technical assistance to register apprenticeship programs to meet their tech workforce needs. Employers will also learn how to access funding supports for their apprenticeship programs and how to support apprentice learning with free trainings and certification opportunities in a range of IT occupations through the online learning platform Coursera.
