Apprenticeship: Industry Driven, Made to Scale
Body

Join the Urban Institute, Apprenticeships for America, Brookings Institution, CareerWise, Jobs for the Future, Working for America Institute and New America for National Apprenticeship Day — celebrating a decade of progress in building America’s workforce.

Registered apprenticeship has surged 88 percent, from 360,000 apprentices in 2015 to 678,000 today. Its expansion has been powered by bipartisan support, federal and state investment, and a bold vision to bring apprenticeship into new industries and occupations.

The momentum has risen from the ground up, led by bold employers, savvy intermediaries, labor organizations and state leaders who know how apprenticeship can work for businesses and workers. This event will spotlight the voices behind that progress: state champions, industry, labor unions, and apprentices. Driven by evidence, we’ll explore how national organizations and system reforms can support and further scale this movement, building the next chapter of America’s apprenticeship renaissance.
