Jung Hyun Choi is a principal research associate in the Housing Finance Policy Center at the Urban Institute. She is an expert in housing finance, with extensive experience in research and policy analysis. At Urban, she has led and contributed to numerous projects on key housing issues, including barriers to homeownership financing, the role of alternative data in mortgage underwriting, and strategies to improve financing for low-density infill housing. Her research has been published in top academic journals, including the Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, Real Estate Economics, Regional Science and Urban Economics, and the Journal of Housing Economics. Choi holds a PhD in public policy and management from the Price School of Public Policy at the University of Southern California.
