As someone dedicated to absorbing new ideas to promote awareness of current events and social issues, I knew working for the Urban Institute would help stimulate curiosity, inspire and encourage critical thinking, influence public policy, and build social change.
Jacinth Jones is a graduate of Howard University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and serves as an Urban communications manager. She supports Urban’s strategic communications team, assists with the production of Urban’s podcast Critical Value, and helps leverage the voices of researchers in pressing social and economic policy conversations.
Her professional experience in digital, print, and broadcast journalism has played an integral role in her ability to launch her career in corporate communications. Eventually, she plans to return to school and receive her master’s in strategic communications.
