Erin Doyle is a research analyst in the early childhood practice area within the Family and Financial Well-Being Division at the Urban Institute. Her research focuses on child care, early education, and home visiting using quantitative and qualitative methods. She is interested in understanding how programs and policies can be designed to meet the needs of the whole family, from national policy to the local program level, especially for communities that have historically faced the greatest barriers to accessing services. She believes understanding how families and providers experience our service systems is an essential component of improvement and effective implementation. Before joining Urban, Doyle received her MS in education policy from the University of Pennsylvania, where she worked as a research assistant for the Penn Early Childhood and Family Research Center.
