Erin Doyle is a research analyst on the child policy team within the Center on Labor, Human Services, and Population at the Urban Institute. Her research focuses on early child care and education, using qualitative methods. She is interested in understanding how programs and policies can be designed to meet the needs of the whole family, from national policy to the local program level, especially for communities that have historically faced the greatest barriers to accessing services. She believes understanding how families and providers experience our service systems is an essential component of improvement and effective implementation. Before joining Urban, Doyle received her MS in education policy from the University of Pennsylvania, where she worked as a research assistant for the Penn Early Childhood and Family Research Center.
