Claire Boyd is a research associate in the Office of Race and Equity Research at the Urban Institute, where she supports research, writing, and analysis on themes related to equity in grantmaking.

Before joining Urban, Boyd researched and authored articles highlighting key regional issues for the Center for Rural Strategies and composed grants for community-based nonprofits to support crucial programming.

As a Robertson Leadership Scholar, Boyd graduated cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a BA in political science and global studies.
