Chris Phan is an academic intern at the Urban Institute. She is an undergraduate at Stanford University, studying computer science and urban studies, and she is focused on the intersection of civic tech and equity in urban development.

Phan previously worked at Rocky Mountain Institute with the Urban Mobility Lab, building a general city transportation model for Indian cities, and at Transitland as a research associate, analyzing historic General Transit Feed Specification data. She has also previously worked at Adobe Inc. as a software engineer and has co-led a class and taught workshops on housing rights in the Bay Area.
