Georgia’s Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL) Quality Rated program is a systemic approach to assessing, improving, and communicating the quality of child care and early education programs. This snapshot summarizes how home- and center-based child care providers responding to surveys indicated supporting child health and well-being in ways that may not be captured in the current Quality Rated system and challenges they have in supporting child health and well-being in the ways they would like. Child care providers and advocates shared their perspectives on the survey findings during Data Walks and reflected on changes that could improve inclusive support for children with a range of developmental needs.
