Written in partnership by the Urban Institute and New York University’s Wagner School, and released by the National Resource Network, the report sets out actionable recommendations for local leaders, anchor institutions, and philanthropy to cultivate mutually beneficial partnerships that promote local prosperity. Highlights include city-anchor compacts, clear data and measurement, leveraging the Affordable Care Act (ACA) to drive investment tailored to specific community needs, and engaging colleges and local firms to build pathways around the skills and credentials employers need.
