These principles provide a framework for a federal early life wealth-building policy aimed at increasing opportunities for all children to build wealth and reducing racial wealth inequities. They are the result of deliberations at a convening hosted by the Urban Institute in October 2023 among researchers and policy experts who have years of experience studying, designing, and testing various forms of early life wealth-building policy.
