Nonprofits play a critical role in creating a healthy and vibrant society through their civic engagement activities, including educating the public on issues that relate to their missions, advocating for or against public policies they believe will help or harm the communities they serve, and engaging voters through nonpartisan voter registration, get-out-the-vote work, and voter education.
This brief sheds light on ways nonprofits participated in these civic engagement activities. It is part of the Nonprofit Trends and Impacts Study.
