This fact sheet highlights selected findings from Kids’ Share 2022. Compared with 2021, all types of federal spending on children are projected to fall in the coming years as temporary pandemic relief measures expire. By 2032, mandatory spending is the only type of children’s spending that is projected to be substantially higher than prepandemic levels.
