Fact sheets

Annually, trillions of dollars from the federal government and philanthropic institutions have the potential to support Americans in accessing specific life experiences that contribute to advancing economic mobility (called “Mobility Experiences”). This report, the third in Camber Collective’s 2024 Mobility Experiences research series, examines the flow of public and philanthropic dollars into a set of 28 life experiences to uncover areas that are optimal for further investment to support people in achieving higher incomes throughout their lifetimes.

In addition to analyzing the distribution of economic mobility–related investments across the 28 Mobility Experiences, we examine how capital flows to the Mobility Experiences can be improved and how funding can be better deployed by prioritizing proven interventions and building local capacities. The report is accompanied by an interactive data dashboard that allows users to better understand key trends in federal and philanthropic capital invested into the Mobility Experiences.
