This fact sheet highlights selected findings from Kids’ Share 2022. It shows that federal entitlement spending on adults in Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security is more than three times total federal spending on kids. While the share of the federal budget going to adult entitlement spending is projected to keep growing, children’s share of federal spending is projected to decline.
