As the Registered Apprenticeship job training model expands in the United States, policymakers are turning their attention to ensuring that apprenticeships are accessible to historically underrepresented populations, including people with disabilities. A range of federal and state laws and policies support inclusive apprenticeship, but ultimate responsibility for implementing apprenticeship programs resides with sponsors. As a result, it is imperative that sponsors understand these laws and policies and their responsibilities under them.
