Two Urban Institute and three Milken Institute scholars discuss a draft bill under discussion as of March 2018 in the Senate Banking Committee to reform the housing finance system. Given the breadth and the complexity of the bill, which would dramatically overhaul the nation's housing finance system, the conversation is not intended to be comprehensive. It is instead an informal dialogue, about what this group finds most interesting and important in the draft, that offers a point of departure for further discussion.
