Good performance management is what makes the promise of Promise Neighborhoods a reality for children, families, and communities. Performance management uses real-time data to leverage the capacity of evidence-based programs to produce meaningful results. Case management data allow performance managers to see whether the Promise Neighborhood’s strategy works for the individuals and families the lead agency and its partners target most directly. This report provides guidance on how to review case management data in the context of a Promise Neighborhood’s strategy. Although based on experience with Promise Neighborhoods, this guidance can be adapted to similar place-based and comprehensive change efforts.
