This fact sheet focuses on participants’ goals and uses for the cash disbursements they have received so far. It draws from data from baseline and six-month surveys, as well as from the participant interviews. While the pilot is still early in implementation, we found:

• The most common participant goals for the cash payments are to achieve financial stability, stay healthy, and find stable housing.
• About half of the participants said the cash disbursements helped them make progress toward their goals.
• Most pilot participants used the funds to pay rent and meet other basic needs.
