Today the Urban Institute joins Abt Associates, American Institutes for Research, Mathematica, MDRC, NORC, the RAND Corporation, RTI International, and Westat in announcing the Evidence and Equity Collaborative.
As members of the Evidence and Equity Collaborative, these nine organizations representing more than 20,000 employees are joining forces to support diversity in their workplaces, strengthen inclusive practices in policy research, and build a foundation for equitable analysis ready to inform policymaking across the nation.
“As we pursue Urban’s mission of opening minds, shaping decisions, and offering solutions through policy research, we do so in the spirit of continuous learning and improvement,” said Urban Institute president Sarah Rosen Wartell. “The Evidence and Equity Collaborative provides a valuable forum for Urban and our peers to share knowledge that can improve our workplaces, sharpen our research practices, and speed our evolution toward a more equitable society.”
