Samantha Batko, a homelessness policy expert at the Urban Institute, spoke with Denver 7 News about her and her colleagues’ evaluation of Denver, Colorado’s All In Mile High (AIMHigh) initiative, which aims to end unsheltered homelessness by the end of 2026. Batko coauthored an analysis showing that AIMHigh helped decrease encampments of more than 20 people by 98 percent and the number of 10-to-20-person encampments by 89 percent. Evaluation of the program’s effects will continue for the next two years.
