The Urban Institute and the Forum for Youth Investment invite you to a conversation about how evidence and evaluation can promote and reflect equity initiatives in the policy space, particularly policies that affect children and youth. The Biden administration’s Executive Order on Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities through the Federal Government highlights the importance of data and evaluation in advancing equity in the federal landscape. This forum will showcase several key interactions between equity and evidence and evaluation, focusing on child and youth policy. Some themes we will discuss include strategies for engaging and centering community members most affected by research and evaluation, aligning equity frameworks with outcome frameworks, and using existing evidence to promote equitable policy and program changes.
