Tricia DelGrosso is a principal research associate in the Center on Labor, Human Services, and Population at the Urban Institute. Her current projects focus on child care and early education supply, sustainability, and quality and workforce development. Her primary research interests are related to home-based child care and programs that support child care and early education access and quality for infants and toddlers.
Before joining Urban, DelGrosso was a principal researcher at Mathematica, where she directed numerous federal contracts. These included projects focused on Early Head Start-Child Care Partnerships and projects examining supply and quality of home-based child care. Before shifting her focus to research, she was a preschool teacher.
DelGrosso has authored or coauthored numerous policy reports and briefs, and she regularly presents her work to policymakers and practitioners at such conferences as the National Research Conference on Early Childhood.
DelGrosso obtained her BA from the George Washington University and her MSEd from the University of Pennsylvania in education policy.
