Tony Fratto is global head of corporate communications at Goldman Sachs and is a member of the Firmwide Client Franchise Committee. Fratto joined Goldman Sachs in 2022 as a partner.
Before joining the firm, Fratto founded Hamilton Place Strategies (now Penta Group) in 2009, directing the communications consulting firm’s business strategy while leading client teams focused on highly regulated sectors, with a particular emphasis on finance and international economic policy. In addition, he has appeared as an on-air contributor to CNBC Business News.
Prior to founding Hamilton Place Strategies, Fratto worked at the White House as deputy assistant to President George W. Bush and principal deputy press secretary. Previously, Fratto served in senior roles with three US Treasury secretaries, including as assistant secretary of the Treasury for public affairs.
Fratto is chair of the board of World Food Program USA and serves as a member of the board of the Center for Global Development. He is also a member of the board of visitors of the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Public and International Affairs, the International Advisory Board of Fundação Dom Cabral in Brazil, the Bretton Woods Committee, and The Economic Club of Washington, DC.
Fratto earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Pittsburgh and attended the university’s Graduate School of Public and International Affairs.
