Biography
Sybil Mendonca is a senior programmer and analyst in the information technology department at the Urban Institute, where she uses sophisticated modeling techniques and statistical testing to support various policy centers on econometric research. She is responsible for advising research staff on appropriate statistical methods, applying scientific methods to match and merge disparate longitudinal and large data sets, assessing data quality to ensure validity and accuracy, utilizing microsimulation techniques and presenting results in graphical or tabular format.
Before working at the Urban Institute, Mendonca worked at Pfizer as a biometrician. She holds a master’s degree in statistics from Colorado State University and a master’s degree in science from the University of Mumbai. She also holds certifications in both base SAS and advanced SAS.
