Rebecca John is a data science analyst on the Urban Institute's Technology and Data Science team. Her work includes building interactive data tools and supporting equity-focused research across Urban's policy divisions with advanced data science techniques, including natural language processing and geospatial analysis.

Before joining Urban, John worked at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, where she conducted research and leveraged quantitative analysis to support evidence-based policymaking. She also worked at Springboard Collaborative, an education nonprofit, where she used mixed methods to evaluate the effectiveness of the collaborative’s reading programs in reducing the achievement gap.

John holds a BS in economics from Drexel University.
