Rami Elamine is the lead engineer of systems and data administration at the Urban Institute. In addition to providing tier 2 and tier 3 support to the Help Desk team, he helped deploy and currently administers Microsoft’s System Center Configuration Manager, a desktop management system used for deploying applications and operating systems (imaging), applying software and security updates, and maintaining an inventory of all software and hardware on the network. Elamine also helps administer and manage Office 365 and the Citrix VDI (virtual environment and remote access). As a member of the user technology and support services team, he has helped support Urban’s macOS users and maintains a macOS users group.
Elamine has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Davidson College. He is a ITIL certified senior IT professional with more than 20 years’ experience in planning, implementing, and supporting technology-based strategies and solutions to nonprofit organizations and government agencies.
