I chose to work at Urban Institute because of my passion for social justice and my desire to play a supporting role for an organization that has a direct impact on influencing public policy in order to improve social and economic outcomes for marginalized populations.
Marisa Faria is director of center operations in the Justice Policy Center at the Urban Institute. She provides operational support, management assistance, and guidance to staff within the Justice Policy Center, including proposal assistance, contract review and negotiation, award compliance, and budgeting. She holds a BA in business administration-finance from James Madison University and an MA in education and human development from the George Washington University.
