
Laura Greenback develops communications strategies for new publications and existing research, and builds relationships with reporters who write about the Urban Institute's social and economic policy issues. She acts as a communications advisor and strategist to researchers and executive management, integrating social media with traditional media relations strategies. Before coming to Urban, Greenback was communications director at the Software & Information Industry Association, where she promoted policy positions on behalf of member companies including Google, IBM, and Bloomberg. She has a BA in English from Washington College and an MA in interactive journalism from American University.
