Kristin Blagg is a principal research associate in the Center on Education Data and Policy at the Urban Institute. Her research spans K–12 and higher education, with a focus on funding and finance policy. In higher education, Blagg has conducted studies on student loans, federal and state grant aid, and measurement of return on investment. In K-12 education, she has led work on the measurement of student need, funding formulas, and on projecting the long-run returns to educational investments.
In addition to her work at Urban, she is pursuing a PhD in public policy and public administration at the George Washington University. Blagg holds a BA in government from Harvard University, an MSEd from Hunter College, and an MPP from Georgetown University.
