Kierra Jones is a policy analyst with the Justice Policy Center at the Urban Institute, where she works on projects related to victimization, the opioid crisis, and the impact of the criminal justice system on families. She holds an MA in sociology from the University of South Carolina, with a specific concentration in populations and health. Before joining Urban, she worked as a joint research assistant with the University of South Carolina’s department of sociology and the Arnold School of Public Health. She has additional interests in the LGBT youth prison pipeline and human trafficking and sex trade.
