Kevin Cannady is director of development programming at the Urban Institute, where he creates engagement opportunities with current and prospective supporters.
Before joining Urban, Cannady lead fundraising and advisory board development efforts for the Graduate School of Education and Human Development at the George Washington University. Before his development career in higher education, Cannady served as senior director of development for the National Kidney Foundation serving the National Capital Area and Virginia (NKF NCA). During his time at NKF NCA, Cannady created donor cultivation opportunities through events and fundraisers.
Cannady also enjoyed a career in radio before establishing himself as a development professional. He was an on-air talent and promotions director.
Cannady earned his BA in communications from Temple University and his MTA in event management from the George Washington University.
