Kelia Washington is a research analyst in the Center for Education Data and Policy at the Urban Institute. She supports research centered around K–12 and postsecondary policy issues. Before coming to Urban, Washington worked for the Center for Education Design, Evaluation, and Research at the University of Michigan. She interned at The Century Foundation on their Higher Education Policy team. She also served as a college adviser in rural Virginia with the Virginia College Advising Corps.
Washington received her master’s in higher education and master’s in public policy from the University of Michigan and her bachelor’s from the University of Virginia.
