The US is at a pivotal moment where policymakers can harness growing momentum for genuine policy change in the criminal justice sphere and make lasting and profound improvements. The work of the talented researchers at the Justice Policy Center is shedding a necessary light and providing the in-depth data and analyses that will ensure this change happens in a responsible and effective manner.
Katie Robertson is senior communications manager for the Justice Policy Center at the Urban Institute, where she works with researchers and communications staff to raise the visibility of the center’s research and in-depth analyses and engages critical audiences to improve justice policy and practice at the national, state, and local levels.
Before joining Urban, Robertson held strategic communications positions in both federal and local government offices, serving as digital content manager for the mayor of Seattle and deputy press secretary for US senator Patty Murray.
Robertson holds a BA in communication from George Mason University.
