Kaela Girod is a research assistant in the Metropolitan Housing and Communities Policy Center at the Urban Institute. Her research interests include housing affordability, homelessness, and immigration.

Girod graduated from Grinnell College, earning a BA in economics and Spanish with a concentration in Latin American studies.
