Jamila Patterson is the senior technology communications specialist for technology and data science at the Urban Institute. She keeps information technology initiatives running smoothly by coordinating communications and meetings with key internal and external stakeholders.
Patterson previously worked in strategic communications for such organizations as the Data Quality Campaign and Forum for Youth Investment, both of which catered to needs in education policy.
Patterson graduated from Norfolk State University with a degree in mass communications. She is pursuing a master of professional studies degree in strategic public relations from the George Washington University.
