Jamal Omosun is a research assistant in the Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center at the Urban Institute. Before joining Urban, he worked as a researcher at Caltech’s Alvarez Lab and as a developer for Radian Generation and Alpha Scenario. He is experienced in microsimulation, mathematical modeling, computational science, and machine learning. Omosun graduated with a bachelor’s degree in computer science and mathematics from Carleton College, where he received distinction on his mathematics senior thesis.
