Events Manager
I believe every American has the right and responsibility to be informed on social and economic issues that affect them and their loved ones. It’s rewarding to work hard to present Urban’s important research to policymakers and the public.

Ivy Hunter is the events manager in the communications department at the Urban Institute. In this role, she coordinates event logistics and assists the external affairs team. Hunter is passionate about promoting the Urban Institute’s research by engaging target audiences through events. Before joining Urban, she was the event and program coordinator for ThanksUSA, a nonprofit organization that provides scholarships to military families. At ThanksUSA, she was primarily responsible for organizing large-scale fundraising events and providing daily support to the scholarship program.

Hunter received her BA in communication from the University of Alabama with a focus on public relations and communication studies.
