Ilina Mitra is a research analyst in the Housing and Communities Division at the Urban Institute. Her research interests include housing affordability, community economic development, and economic mobility.

Mitra has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Wellesley College, a master’s degree in data science from Brown University, and a master’s degree in public policy from the University of Chicago, where she specialized in urban science.
