
Hannah Martin is a policy associate in the Center on Nonprofits and Philanthropy at the Urban Institute. Her work focuses on social sector infrastructure, charitable giving, and nonprofit trends. She manages and conducts projects on these topics, collecting and analyzing survey, interview, and administrative data to inform policy solutions.
Before joining Urban, Martin was research manager at the Center for Effective Philanthropy, where she led projects about funder practices and the state of nonprofits. As a graduate student, she served as a research assistant for the Indiana Nonprofits Project. She holds a BS in public affairs and an MPA from the O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University.
