Family and Financial Well-Being Division Early Childhood

Eve Mefferd is a research analyst in the Family and Financial Well-Being Division at the Urban Institute. She applies qualitative and quantitative methods to research on child care and early education. Before joining Urban, she was a research assistant on the economic security, mobility, and equity team at the Institute for Women’s Policy Research, where her work focused on job quality and income security, labor rights and equitable workplaces, race and gender pay equity, and the care economy. Mefferd holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology and public policy with a focus on socioeconomic class, spatial justice, and educational policy from Bennington College and received a certificate in public policy analysis from the London School of Economics.
