Edward Kroll is a special assistant to the vice president and project coordinator in the Center on Nonprofits and Philanthropy (CNP) at the Urban Institute. He supports the development of project communications, proposals, and work plans and manages the vice president’s correspondence and strategic partnerships. He also provides research and project management support for CNP’s partnership with the Citi Foundation, the Long Island Community Foundation, and other projects focused on philanthropic efforts to advance social and racial equity.
Before joining Urban, he served as the director of sustainability for the State University of New York Student Assembly, where he convened relevant stakeholders to discuss and advocate for on-campus sustainability across 64 universities. He also studied the environmental and social implications of water pollution in Syracuse, New York, as a research intern at the Atlantic States Legal Foundation and administered training conferences and supported organizational communications, development, and fundraising as a lieutenant governor for the New York District of Circle K International.
Kroll graduated cum laude with a BS in environmental studies with a focus in policy, planning, and law from the State University of New York, College of Environmental Science and Forestry.
