Annie Heinrichs is a training and technical assistance specialist in the Research to Action Lab at the Urban Institute. She works with foundations, local governments, nonprofits, and community-based organizations on community engagement strategies, coalition building, and policies and programs that advance upward mobility. Heinrichs is a skilled facilitator and project manager who designs high-impact convenings and group learning opportunities to help participants reach goals and build meaningful connections.

Previously, Heinrichs was a project specialist with Public Strategies, providing training and technical assistance to workforce development and family-strengthening programs. Before joining Public Strategies, she was an elementary school teacher with Teach for America.

Heinrichs received a bachelor’s degree in communications with a minor in social innovation and social entrepreneurship from Tulane University, and she holds a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Oklahoma.
