Anand Janardhanan is a senior software engineer in the Office of Technology and Data Science at the Urban Institute. He develops and maintains various websites in Urban’s portfolio, including urban.org, taxpolicycenter.org, and upward-mobility.urban.org. With more than five years of experience in open-source web, mobile, and operating system development, Janardhanan is proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, C, and Java. He is passionate about building projects that range from full-scale modern web applications to intricate system-level software.

Additionally, Janardhanan is an Acquia-certified Drupal developer and contributes to the Drupal community. Before joining Urban, he was a web developer in India and gained experience at Cleveland State University and the University of Kentucky. He holds a master of computer science degree from Cleveland State University.
