Allison Feldman harnesses the power of interactive design and hand-drawn, digital illustrations to visualize research produced at the Urban Institute. Although Allison holds a degree in environmental science and biology, she has always believed that the coalescence of art and science can be used to convey compelling stories. It is her personal goal, as both a scientist and an artist, to infuse art and creativity into Urban's work, while also driving data-driven strategies and preserving the scientific process. Allison has worked in both the nonprofit and private sectors; notably, she has done scientific illustration for the National Parks in San Francisco and the Maria Mitchell Association on Nantucket island.
