Albert Alana is the lead engineer of systems configuration and integrations at the Urban Institute. He designs, develops, and implements solutions to integrate such systems as Workday, Salesforce, Jamis Prime, SharePoint, and Box using technologies such as Web Services API, SOAP and REST integration, XML/XSLT, and C# API. Previously, he was a senior administrator for the users and support group, leading or coleading projects such as 8x8, Desk.com, SharePoint, and Microsoft Systems Center.

Alana has a bachelor’s degree in computer science from a foreign university accredited in the United States for the World Education Service Institute in New York City. He has more than 25 years of experience in the information technology industry as a programmer, systems analyst, systems engineer, and systems administrator.
