Research to Action Lab Center for Equity and Community Impact

Adriana Vance is a research analyst in the Race and Equity Division at the Urban Institute. Her research focuses on housing and urban development, data analysis, and helping local governments advance equity-based initiatives.

Before joining Urban, Vance worked at Greater Greater Washington, where she conducted quantitative analysis of questionnaire responses and advocated for equity in transportation and housing policies in the DC area. She also worked in the Detroit Office of Budget as a Mayoral Fellow, advising analysts on how to streamline the budgeting process and make the city budget more accessible to Detroit residents.

Vance holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and French from Kalamazoo College and a master’s degree in public policy from Georgetown University focused on housing, community development, and data analysis.
