On Thursday, May 12, Susan J. Popkin testified before the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Housing and Insurance during a hearing titled “The Future of Housing in America: A Comparison of the United Kingdom and United States Models of Affordable Housing.” As rents have risen faster than incomes for a growing segment of the workforce, Popkin discussed policy proposals to increase access to affordable housing for low-income households.
