Rise is the data partner for the Choice Neighborhoods Initiative planning grant team in Wellston, Missouri, and a partner in the National Neighborhood Indicators Partnership (NNIP), a peer-learning network operated by the Urban Institute. Rise staff regularly attend the Choice planning meetings and are developing a dashboard to track data on neighborhood conditions as the neighborhood Transformation Plan moves forward. They also work directly with Wellston residents to help them understand and use data to represent their perspective in the planning process. This brief is part of a series on how NNIP partners advance the work of federal place-based initiatives.
